TWENTY: The 20th Cooperative Exhibition
the co-op's twentieth year, marked among its printers
2011 · Minneapolis, Minnesota
The twentieth cooperative exhibition at Highpoint Center for Printmaking, and the maker’s work in it. A milestone show for the printmaking house that had become his second family in Minneapolis: the staff and studio mates he traveled with to the print conferences, argued ink viscosity with over beers, and found again at bonfires and openings across the city.
He had come to the co-op by a trade, a website built for the printmaking house in exchange for studio time, the best deal he ever made. In these middle years of the sojourn the design trade ate the days and the art stayed in the periphery, close enough to ache, too far to hold. Showing with the co-op was how the thread stayed tied.
