Shelf Show

A group exhibition by invitation at the Secret Knots Gallery, in the third year of the sojourn. The ledger keeps the gallery’s name, the year, and the show’s premise in its title: work made to a shelf’s measure.

The invitation came out of the web of the mill cities, where the circles bled into each other and the kind of person who cared deeply about one thing tended to care deeply about many. You met someone at the presses and found them again at a design talk, a ski trail, a punk show; sooner or later one of them had a gallery and a shelf that wanted filling.
